InfoSpace Announces Availability of Bulk Search Inclusion Program

Targeted at online businesses with 500 or more URLs, InfoSpace's program guarantees participants' listings will be included within the search index of InfoSpace Meta-Search

BOSTON (March 4, 2003) – Online businesses with more than 500 URLs can now quickly and conveniently guarantee all of their listings are included within the search indexes of Excite Search (http://search.excite.com), Dogpile (www.dogpile.com), WebCrawler (www.webcrawler.com) and MetaCrawler (www.metacrawler.com), among others.

Today at the Search Engine Strategies Conference and Expo in Boston, InfoSpace, Inc. (Nasdaq: INSP), a provider of wireless and Internet software and application services, announced the availability of its Bulk Search Inclusion program. The new program provides medium-to-large online businesses, those with more than 500 URLs, or Search Engine Marketing (SEM) organizations and advertising agencies that represent clients of this size, the ability to promote those Web sites and pages to more than 30.2 million potential customers (comScore MediaMetrix, January 2003).

"InfoSpace's Bulk Search Inclusion program provides medium-to-large Web companies and those that represent them, a quick, convenient and cost-effective service to further promote their Web site and vast number of pages to millions of potential customers," said York Baur, InfoSpace executive vice president, wireline and broadband.

"This program potentially provides more comprehensive and relevant results to deliver to our users, as well as another revenue source for our meta-search business," said Jim Voelker, chairman, CEO and president of InfoSpace

Several medium-to-large online businesses, as well as SEMs, including 24/7 Website Results, a unit of 24/7 Real Media, Inc. (Nasdaq: TFSM), and TrafficLeader are utilizing InfoSpace's Bulk Search Inclusion program.

"Respect for relevancy, and the ability to perform for large and successful companies, are why search engine leaders, like InfoSpace, turn to TrafficLeader," said Jerry Wiant, president and CEO of TrafficLeader. "As one of the first SEMs to roll-out the new bulk inclusion program offered by InfoSpace, we are excited about the opportunities ahead to enable our clients to gain visibility through InfoSpace meta-search found at Excite, Dogpile, among others."

"This space is a strong marketing tool for online advertisers," said Mark R. Brown, vice president, 24/7 Website Results. "We are excited that InfoSpace has turned to 24/7 Website Results as an inaugural partner to build and manage this program. Our 650 advertisers can now potentially gain exposure in InfoSpace's network of meta-search properties."
